Includes coffee and tea for the grown ups and tons of silly fun for the pups!
The Veterinary Behavior Center’s unique interior provides nooks and crannies for puppy to explore, while allowing for pups to experience a veterinary environment in a positive way! Your puppy will experience new sights, sounds, and smells with each week of this 4-week program slightly different from the others so that your puppy develops comfort and confidence interacting with silly statues, background noise, interactive toys and puzzles, and meeting new people. And, because of our small class size, your puppy, along with three others, will swarm as a group and develop predictable, safe friendships that might last a lifetime!

Our skilled puppy “lifeguards” will supervise play and exploration, ensuring that your puppy has a happy, productive experience. Pet parents will interact with each other’s puppies with a goal of all puppies achieving comfort interacting with new human friends. Tummy tickles, tasty treats, and sweet interactions will help your puppy develop trust and optimism about their strange new world! We are honored to be part of your puppy’s social circle, and you will enjoy the late morning nap the comes after each session.
For puppies 8-16 weeks of age on week 1.

All puppies must be fully vaccinated and healthy to attend class.
All humans must be COVID symptom free to attend class. Masks are required in the building when not actively drinking or eating. Weather permitting, we will open our garage door and include a contained outdoor space (for better air flow too!)

We promise! You won’t fall asleep! But your dog might... and in this case, we call that a victory! Learning to self-regulate is critical for everyone, including our canine companions, and the ability to relax is a skill that takes time to develop. Relaxing on cue, and for an extended period of time, lowers heart and respiratory rates, and soothes a stressed-out mind. This group class is designed for 4 dogs and their families to gather in a safe, supportive environment and learn or practice our 6 D’s relaxation protocol designed by Dr. Fagen. When a dog learns to relax on cue, the possibilities are endless! When a learner relaxes, tandem therapies can be employed to maximize successful outcomes - learning is enhanced when emotions are stable. Whether you are hoping for a relaxed athlete on the sideline at a sporting event, a consistent signal to inform your enthusiastic dog that it’s time to chill, or a reliable way to help your dog decompress, this class is for you!
TVBC’s Relaxation Class is open to the public. Five-week class with 45-minute sessions.
